¡FELICITACIONES a Undécimo Grado, al igual que al resto del elenco, quienes con el Equipo Creativo, compuesto por los Directores de cada una de las Áreas, Música, Danza, Escenografía y Teatro, los Guionistas, el Equipo de Logística y la colaboración de los Padres de Familia, Rectoría, Direcciones de Nivel y Presidencia, lograron un espectáculo digno de nuestro colegio, liderado por el hada inspiradora de sueños: Iliana Aljure!
En este par de líneas, queremos expresar nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a los artistas de todas las edades que participaron en Crónica de un País Inefable. Su entrega incondicional, compromiso y pasión desenfrenada, inspiraron esta puesta en escena que nos transportó a la Colombia de los años 40. Desde los más jóvenes hasta los más experimentados, dejaron su huella, invirtiendo largas jornadas de ensayos y horas interminables de dedicación. Su labor logró que cada momento fuera mágico, transmitiendo emociones y sentimientos, a partir de los cuales reímos, lloramos y reflexionamos, con profunda admiración. Su participación en Crónica de un País Inefable será recordada como una contribución invaluable y una prueba del talento indiscutible que existe en todos los rincones de nuestra comunidad.
Crónica de un País Inefable no solo logró entretener y conmover a la audiencia, sino que también demostró que la integración del currículo académico entre las diferentes asignaturas, Educación Artística, Sociales, Español y Desarrollo de Virtudes, entre otras, tuvo el gran poder de unir a las personas y transmitir un mensaje poderoso. Toda la producción es un testimonio inequívoco del talento y la creatividad de estudiantes, maestros y directores invitados, así como del apoyo y la colaboración de la comunidad en general.
La obra fue concebida a partir de la imaginación de cinco escritores de Undécimo Grado, Josué Ariza, Sarah Jiménez, Mariana Carrillo, Danna García y Daniella Silva Mori, quienes, junto con Gustavo Giraldo, el guionista, trabajaron incansablemente para dar vida a la historia de Aureliano y su crónica sobre el conflicto bipartidista que enfrentó a los Conservadores y Liberales de la época del “Bogotazo” en 1948.
Es así como el espectáculo se centró en la historia de amor entre Edgar y Elvira, el primero de familia liberal y la segunda de familia conservadora, dos jóvenes soñadores que lucharon por mantenerse juntos en medio de los turbulentos acontecimientos políticos. A través de su narrativa única y emotiva, Crónica de un País Inefable resaltó la belleza de Colombia y lo que nos une como ciudadanos.
Con un total de tres funciones, una el viernes 26 de mayo y dos realizadas el sábado 27 de mayo, este espectáculo logró conmover a una amplia audiencia. Es importante destacar el compromiso social de Crónica de un País Inefable, durante la función del sábado a las 11:30 a.m. Nuestra contribución hacia la Sostenibilidad Social, consistió en donar la mitad de los asientos de manera gratuita para personas de bajos ingresos y menos favorecidas del área de influencia del Colegio Rochester. La Fundación Educativa Rochester gestionó el envío de 80 boletas para las familias de bajos recursos del Proyecto Pan Compartido, de la Institución Educativa Fonquetá. Igualmente, se beneficiaron familias de colaboradores de Infraestructura, Alimentos, Seguridad y otras áreas del Colegio Rochester, junto con algunos familiares de instituciones aliadas. Uno de los aspectos más destacados de este logro fue la colaboración y el apoyo brindado por la Caja de Compensación Familiar, COMPENSAR. Esta reconocida organización compró un total de 168 boletas para beneficiar estas familias de escasos recursos, contribuyendo significativamente al éxito del evento. Su generosidad al adquirir boletas por un valor de $15,120,000 permitió que muchas más personas pudieran disfrutar del espectáculo y así apoyar la labor de los estudiantes. Las ventas por la página alcanzaron una cifra impresionante de $73,080,000, lo que refleja el gran interés que despertó el espectáculo en el público. El total de boletas vendidas ascendió a 812, lo que demuestra la respuesta entusiasta de la comunidad.
Adicionalmente, queremos hacer un reconocimiento especial a los Colaboradores del Colegio Rochester quienes participaron activamente y contribuyeron con la compra de alrededor de 34 boletas para disfrutar en familia de este GRAN ESPECTÁCULO. ¡Unidos lo logramos siempre!
En definitiva, Crónica de un País Inefable, se posiciona como un hito en el panorama artístico del Colegio Rochester, siendo éste un ejemplo de lo que se puede lograr cuando la pasión, la determinación y el compromiso se unen. Este espectáculo será recordado como una carta de amor a Colombia y como una prueba de la fuerza y la unión de su gente.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Twelfth Grade, as well as to the rest of the cast, who, with the Creative Team, composed by the Directors of each of the Areas, Music, Dance, Scenography and Theater, the Scriptwriters, the Logistics Team and the collaboration of the Parents, Principalship, Level Directors and Presidency, achieved a show worthy of our school, led by the inspirational fairy of dreams: Iliana Aljure!
In these few lines, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the artists of all ages who participated in Chronicle of an Ineffable Country. Their unconditional dedication, commitment and unbridled passion inspired this staging that transported us to the Colombia of the 40’s. From the youngest to the most experienced, they left their mark, investing long days of rehearsals and endless hours of dedication. Their work made every moment magical, transmitting emotions and feelings, from which we laughed, cried and reflected, with deep admiration. Their participation in Chronicle of an Ineffable Country will be remembered as an invaluable contribution and evidence of the unquestionable talent that exists in every corner of our community.
Special recognition and thanks to the entire team of Twelfth Grade students, teachers and non-teaching staff who worked hard to make this show a reality. Their dedication, passion and talent were reflected in every aspect of the production, from acting and dance to music and set design.
Chronicle of an Ineffable Country not only managed to entertain and move the audience, but also showed that the integration of the academic curriculum between the different subjects, Arts Education, Social Studies, Spanish and Virtues Development, among others, had the great power to unite people and transmit a powerful message. The entire production is an unmistakable testament to the talent and creativity of students, teachers and guest directors, as well as the support and collaboration of the community at large.
The play was conceived from the imagination of five Twelfth Grade writers, Josué Ariza, Sarah Jiménez, Mariana Carrillo, Danna García and Daniella Silva Mori, who, together with Gustavo Giraldo, the scriptwriter, worked tirelessly to bring to life the story of Aureliano and his chronicle of the bipartisan conflict that pitted the Conservatives and Liberals of the «Bogotazo» era in 1948.
This is how the show focused on the love story between Edgar and Elvira, the former from a liberal family and the latter from a conservative family, two young dreamers who struggled to stay together in the midst of turbulent political events. Through its unique and emotional narrative, Chronicle of an Ineffable Country highlighted the beauty of Colombia and what unites us as citizens.
With a total of three performances, one on Friday, May 26 and two on Saturday, May 27, this show was able to move a large audience. It is important to highlight the social commitment of Chronicle of an Ineffable Country, during Saturday’s performance at 11:30 a.m. Our contribution to Social Sustainability consisted of donating half of the seats free of charge to low-income and disadvantaged people in the Rochester School’s area of influence. The Rochester Educational Foundation managed the delivery of 80 tickets for low-income families of the Shared Bread Project of the Fonquetá Educational Institution. Likewise, families of collaborators from Infrastructure, Food, Security and other areas of Rochester School were benefited, together with some relatives of allied institutions. One of the highlights of this achievement was the collaboration and support provided by the Family Compensation Fund, COMPENSAR. In short, Chronicle of an Ineffable Country, is positioned as a milestone in the artistic panorama of Rochester School, being an example of what can be achieved when passion, determination and commitment come together. This show will be remembered as a love letter to Colombia and as evidence of the strength and unity of its people.
